Hey everyone,
So here's the first list of things I've tried to do to make extra money:
1) Baking for Christmas. I posted an ad on our local facebook garage sale group. I offered to make perogies, cabbage rolls, and baking trays. This was good for a few weeks, I made about $150 after costs, which compared to the amount of work it took was not a lot, but it was a lot of fun!
2) I'm currently trying the adsense, putting an ad on my blog to see if it will actually pay and how long it takes to pay (click on the ad for fun so I can find out!!! :-) ) I'll keep you posted on how well that works.
3) I've done music lessons and child care as well but this takes a very firm time commitment and I am looking for something that is a light commitment or just something to do while I'm unemployed for the next month!
4) Get a casual job at a daycare/school/etc. This is pretty decent cash, you go, do your job, and come home. The only problem is often when they say casual, they actually mean part-time so you really need to stay on top of when they schedule you as often they won't ask!
5) Mary-Kay or any home party sales. This is a really tough gig. I'm not the type of person to bug people to have parties because I know most people hate them! It's great though if you want to stock up on make-up, tupperware, or something for yourself for a lower cost!
Any more ideas??? Please comment away! I'll keep looking and post any other options I've found.

Money doesn't make you happy?
While sitting here, wondering how the bills will get paid in the next month, I realized there are a lot of people out there in the same situation I'm sure! I am going to research ways to make some extra cash and let you know what I come up with and I want any ideas you may have!
With the economy in the rocky shape that it is in I realized as a person starting out my life with a lot of school/consumer debt that it may be more imperative than ever to stay on top of this debt in case there are no jobs to turn to later. While the saying goes that money doesn't make you happy, I think the saying could easily be switched, not having money can make you depressed. I think we can all agree that not having enough to make ends meet or just having enough, or even just being unsure about it is a huge weight on anyone's shoulders. We can all scrimp and save and make do with what we have but to not have to worry about whether you can buy groceries or make payments would sure make me happy. Hence my thought, maybe having money will make you happy (as long as you aren't depending on money alone to fill your life).
Post any suggestions you have for money-making ideas, especially fun ones! Or comment on the ideas I post to give suggestions to make it better!
